Concerns arising from the parking of vehicles

The Parish Council regularly receives complaints about the inconsiderate parking of vehicles around the village, with many local roads being narrow and easily obstructed.

Although the Parish Council has no statutory responsibility for parking issues (these being a matter for the police, or the County Council in its role as Highways Authority), members are always keen to see village life run smoothly. For this reason, all residents are politely requested to park their vehicles appropriately and with other pedestrians / road users in mind. For instance, by leaving vehicles on their own driveways - rather than the highway - wherever possible, and always parking close to the kerb in other circumstances.

Thank you in advance to all residents for your co-operation on this matter.
