Armistice Day, 11 November 2020 – Bowland School lay a wreath at the village’s war memorial

On Armistice Day, 11 November 2020, Bowland School’s head boy Charlie and head girl Ella laid a remembrance wreath at the war memorial in West Bradford. The event was part of a series of remembrance activities carried out by staff and pupils, including the creation of in-school memorial displays; all students stopping work for a 2-minute period of silent reflection; and the Last Post ringing out through the corridors.

The Parish Council is pleased to see the war memorial used for the benefit of the wider community. Our thanks to Bowland School for carrying out such a fitting tribute.
